Thought this may help. There are not literal ‘fences’ in these photos, but still…. This Websters definition has some poignant words in there.
1 archaic : a means of protection : DEFENSE
2 a : a barrier intended to prevent escape or intrusion or to mark a boundary; especially : such a barrier made of posts and wire or boards b : an immaterial barrier or boundary line
3 : FENCING 1
4 a : a receiver of stolen goods b : a place where stolen goods are bought
Wow - I love the “receiver of stolen goods” part. I had forgotten about that use of the word. Also the “immaterial barrier” part - that’s a pretty accurate description of practically all of my work.

I’m not really sure what I’m getting out of the second one. Puddles of water are traps for me - I must have fallen for it.
BTW, “blows the puddle out of the water” is one of the best phrases ever.
This one. the top photo. Very staged.
I like the Cleanliness is Godliness one more now that its at night with a flash. It’s still part of the whole trap thing though!
